T-Mobile: $1,000 Says Our Galaxy S 4G Is Faster Than Your iPhone
T-Mobile has just unleashed an interesting marketing maneuver for their Galaxy S 4G by claiming it’s faster than any iPhone – and offering $1,000 to anyone who can prove them wrong!
For those in the Seattle area, from Friday through Sunday, T-Mobile is calling on iPhone owners to bring in their handsets to one of 10 local stores, where it will be matched against a Galaxy S 4G in a series of download speed tests conducted by an app specified by T-Mobile.
If the iPhone comes out on top, T-Mobile will pay out $1,000. If not, then the iPhone owner can trade in their iPhone for up to $300 credit towards a T-Mobile smartphone.
This intrigues me, because for some strange reason, I’ve always thought that interface, ease of use, and the speed at which I can be productive in apps are far more important than speed… but maybe I’m just crazy…

Apple confirms white iPhone 4 launch tomorrow
Apple has just issued a press release confirming the April 28 launch for its sought-after white iPhone 4. The device will be available from Apple’s online and retail stores, AT&T and Verizon Wireless stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers. The statement quotes Apple’s worldwide marketing honcho Phil Schiller:

Here's one that might explain why the two are stunting hard in France right now. The Daily Star Sunday is reporting that Jay-Z and Beyoncé were asked to perform at the upcoming Royal Wedding.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are apparently huge fans and it looks like a done deal. "Will and Kate will have an official reception for hundreds of dignitaries before throwing a less formal bash for loved-ones. They both wanted to ditch traditions and make it more personal for them," said an insider to The Daily Star Sunday. Royal swag.
