Jay-Z Becomes First Rap Artist To Perform At Carnegie Hall
Jay-Z, who recently became a dad is making 2012 count. The Brooklyn born rapper is making history by becoming the first rap artist to perform in New York City’s legendary Carnegie Hall.
The concerts will be held on February 6th and 7th at the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Montreal’s Moment Factory, an interactive set maker, will provide a cascading color and light show for the historic Hip-Hop shows.

Now, it's not that surprising to see liquid liner on top and pencil on bottom—that's usually the way it goes, actually. But black liquid on top with a colored pencil on bottom? That's where things get interesting.
You see, the liquid is just straight, regular old black liquid liner, but the bottom is done with dark purple pencil. Often when you see color done with liquid, either 1) The liquid is the vibrant hue or 2) The bottom lid is also traced in black with the color smudged just outside of it. But doing it this way, with the black on top and the purple just boldly hanging out there alone on the bottom makes the difference in both the color and the texture of liners stand out without making her eyes scream "PURPLE" from far away. Nice, don't you agree?
