Bottle Key

No matter what you keep in your pockets or bag on a full-time basis, odds are you have some keys. Now you can add a bottle opener to that list. The Bottle Key ($11) is a lovely, distressed-looking blank key made from antique brass with a bottle opener built-in, meaning you'll never be bumming openers or destroying someone else's Bic again.

Curren$y "You See It"

Contemporary Residence in Sri Lanka by Architect Channa Horombuwa

The main feature of the house is the floating staircase made out of stainless steel and wood. Two straight flights run parallel to each other through the triple height volume in the centre of the house. The large double height living room opens out to the garden and has been located towards the right side of the entrance lobby to maintain privacy. The tile cladded double height back wall of the living room supports the glass panels which touches the roof ceiling to maintain the floating effect of the single sloping roof of the living hall. Use of large glazed panels help to bring lot of day light into the house and as a result the every corner of the house is well lit with reflected sunlight. Direct and indirect light effects maintain a dramatic appearance inside the house at night. Selection of light fittings too has been made to strengthen the modern look of the house.”

Nicki Minaj Wants To Act with Will Smith, Get...

As noted yesterday, Nicki Minaj walks away with Kanye West’s just-released “Monster” video just like she does the song; in playing two different versions of herself, she manages to hit on a dozen or so different aspects of her personality.
If you ask Minaj herself, nobody should be surprised that her acting chops are top-notch: “I went to school to be an actress. I never expected to be a rapper. It just fell in my lap,” she told Entertainment Weekly at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards. “So I would like to get an acting gig. I hope that when I am done with the tour I can go back and do some acting. That is my long-term goal.”
The tour in question is her upcoming trek with Britney Spears:”I want to go all out and make it over the top and theatrical. There will be costume changes and hair changes. Lots of sexy outfits and dancing,” she explained. “I don’t know how to do things normal and boring. Why? People pay good money for concert tickets these days.”
As far as her acting aspirations go, she’s looking for a bit more than the usual rapper-to-actor transitions (meaning we won’t be seeing Nicki’s version of Killa Season). “I want to work with Will Smith, because he’s a very successful rapper turned actor and therefore a role model,” Minaj said. “And Tim Burton because I love his crazy imagination. He comes up with these characters that are just so fascinating and the costumes and just creates these whole worlds.”

Mountain Dew Designs Skate Park to Look Like Giant Pinball Machine

@KrystalIceKream found, Despite its well-known status as nerd fuel, Mountain Dew also has a base constituency of daredevil extreme-sports dude-bros to consider. Plus, the brand has three new flavors coming out. So, naturally, they partnered with skateboarders Haimona Ngata, Brett Band and Mike Bancroft—and ad agency Colenso BBDO—to build a skate park in New Zealand that resembles a giant pinball machine. They even got a local band (AC/DC sound-alikes Tough Love) to provide a song for the ad. The park is open through the month of June. People who want to skate it can check out the Dew's Facebook page for more details. For this project, it was definitely better to deal with the jocks than the nerds. Realistically, building a Kingdom of Azeroth for guys with foam swords to run around in wouldn't have been as cost-effective. Making-of video after the jump. Via The Denver Egotist | adweek
