Justin Timberlake Says Jay-Z Passed On A Collaboration With Him
Just because JT has a relatively high status of street cred within the hip-hop realm doesn’t mean that just anybody will work with him. Evidently the one-time boy-bander reached out to Jay with intentions to make sweet musical magic, but of course, we’ve yet to hear any result and this is why. Check the statement from Justin below as to how it went down between he and Jigga. PS — can they please make this happen?
“Jay-Z has put out 11 albums, and I was talking about doing a collaboration with him, and he said, ‘I can’t do it right now, but I’ll get you on the next album.’ I was like, ‘No, man, I don’t work like that… This sounded good to me for you and me to do together, and if it doesn’t work, then I totally get it, but I won’t be putting an album out next year; these aren’t a dime a dozen to me.”

The 'Baby' hitmaker reportedly refuses to team up with Kanye on his collaboration album with Jay-Z due to the rapper's controversial image.
Justin Bieber seemingly wants to maintain his squeaky clean image in the showbiz industry. The Canadian teen heartthrob reportedly refused to team up with several troubled stars. He was said to be hesitant when controversial rapper Kanye West asked him to work together for his upcoming collaboration album.
According to a report in HollywoodLife, the "Gold Digger" rapper has approached the "Baby" hitmaker to join force with him on his upcoming album with Jay-Z, called "Watch the Throne". However, a source said, "Justin likes Kanye's music, but he's worried he's done too many controversies things and it would hurt his image."
The particular source added that the boyfriend of Selena Gomez is afraid with Kanye's reputation for being a divisive public figure. "Between the sex scandals, political gaffes and interrupting Taylor Swift, Kanye is known as a genius but a big risk to associate with!" claimed the source.
Justin and Kanye have unofficially worked together in the past. The rapper once remixed Justin's single "Runaway Love" with Raekwon.
