Dad Locks Toddler in Hot Car During Date at McDonald's
A citizen of Sacramento noticed a 5-month-old girl locked inside a parked car, and waited 15 minutes before calling 911. Police arrived and rescued the child, who was "sweating profusely and seemed to be distressed."
Who put her there? Her 18-year-old dad, who had left the car "a considerable distance" from the McDonald's where he sat — on a date. The father faces felony child endangerment charges, and the baby is under protective custody. ABC7

Man Assaults His Estranged Wife Because She Did Not "Like" His Facebook Status
A Texas man is facing battery charges after police say he hit his estranged New Mexico wife and pulled her hair over her lack of a response to his Facebook status update.
According to the criminal complaint, Benito Apolinar posted a comment on his Facebook page about the anniversary of his mother's death, but Dolores Apolinar didn't click the "like" status button.
The complaint says Benito Apolinar told his wife that he was unhappy that she didn't respond as others did. Police say that's when a fight began.
Benito Apolinar pleaded not guilty to one charge of battery.
