Elbert County's Rob Rucker (who is only 6'4") is pretty much an instant legend, well, forever, now that he pulled a Darvin Ham and smashed a backboard mid-game, thereby raising his status as a basketball player through an act that has nothing to do with the skills that make one a good basketball player (really, more like the skills that make one strong/powerful). That being said, the video, however grainy, is still pretty awesome.
Rucker later said that he "was scared ... but hey, I took it like a man." The shattered board required the school to stop play for an hour, before moving it over to Elbert County's middle school gym.
