Beyonće Says Jay-Z Will Change Diapers In New Role As Father To Their Daughter

The latest blueprint for new dad Jay-Z includes dirty diapers and babysitting duties.

“He will change diapers, of course he will,” mom Beyonce said of the platinum-selling hip-hop hero in her first interview since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy.

“He is going to be a very hands-on father,” the “Crazy In Love” songstress told UK Star magazine. “He has already said publicly that providing isn’t love. Love is being there.
“Love is doing little things for your child.”

Jay-Z — raised by his mother after his own father disappeared when the rapper was 11 — was in the delivery room when the couple’s bundle of joy arrived.

“He would not have missed it for anything,” Beyonce said. “He is a very protective and loyal guy by nature. He is a very protective husband, and since we have found out I was pregnant I have seen the protective father in him.”

The 30-year-old first-time mom also defended the ultra-tight security surrounding the birth at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Other parents complained they were blocked from seeing their newborns because of the tight precautions in place for the child of the two superstar performers.
“Security was very tight, not for the sake of it,” she said. “It was for the security of our daughter.”

The singer said her connection with the new arrival began before the child’s birth — but nothing compared with the moment when Blue Ivy was placed in her arms.
“Nothing can describe the feeling ... when you hold (her) for the first time, the words can’t be found,” she said. “It’s an old cliche that the thing expectant moms look forward to most is holding their child in their arms for the first time.
“But it’s one of those cliches that is a real truth.”

Beyonce said she and her hubby were thrilled about their future together with little Blue.
“A child is the greatest gift you can receive, and we are so excited and blessed to be in this situation,” she said. “We are all great. We are just glad to be going home and starting this new stage of our life.” DailyNews
