The Kevin Allred taught "Politicizing Beyonce" course, dives into the control over her own aesthetic, her alter-ego "Sasha Fierce" and whether or not she is being stereotypical when she wears less clothes or if it is empowering. The class was inspired by previous discussions in his Women's Studies course, where students argued whether she a role model for kids today.
