5 years after the release of the classic mixtape Wiz talks "Kush & Orange Juice".
in the words of @TroyAve "Incase you missed it, recently the good folk at MTV 2 asked yours truly to do a Sucker Freestyle & "me being the man that i am" (Biggie Voice) lol. I said Hell Muthafukin YEAH!"
Jay-Z continued his post press conference conversation with MTV. he talks at great length about his protege J. Cole, who held a #1 album spot with his debut release and now has a Grammy nod to boot.
“I think it’s great for him, because I’m sure it’s a dream of his. We grew up seeing Michael Jackson, and I’m sure he grew up seeing whatever moment stuck in his mind, so I know it’s great for him to do that,I think he’s already won Best New Artist, to me. His journey is what I’m really excited about. The person he is today is not who he was when he first walked in. He got a chance to really go out, see what worked, see what people connect to, figure out how he was gonna tell his story. That artist-development thing, I think we need more of it. We need to ensure that this thing is around for future generations. This thing that fed our kids and our family and took us to these heights needs to be held intact by the people who are doing it. Whether he was nominated or not, he was the best new artist to me; sold 200-and-something-thousand records in his first week; he was the best new artist, I’m sure it’s great for him.”
In the new October issue of XXL Magazine Rick Ross addresses his “issue” with Bruce Willis’ niece female rapper Kreayshawn. It was recently at the MTV Music Awards, an altercation almost ensued for remarks Kreayshawn made about Ross in freestyle on Cosmic Kev’s “Come Up Show.”
He even threatens Kreayshawn, the fledgling Bay Area rapper who called Ross “fake” in a recent freestyle. “I cant wait to slap the !! out of whoever carriers her bags,” he sneers. “And I hope it’s her nicca. Dirty !!. You better know the !! you talking about. I’ll pay 50K to mess up your whole week.”
The Situation could have more market power than anyone imagined -- because a day after Abercrombie & Fitch offered him and the other "Jersey Shore" cast members cash NOT to wear its clothes ... the company's stock plummeted 9%.
Abercrombie's stock hit the new low today -- the first trading session since the company offered Sitch and the cast substantial $$$ to stop wearing A&F-branded products.
Abercrombie fired off a press release yesterday, offering the cast "a substantial payment" in return for not wearing its threads, claiming The Situation goes against the "aspirational nature of its brand."
