iPhone 5 Is “Just Weeks Away” w| “Fairly Different Design”

Two un-named Apple employees have confirmed that Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 5 is “just weeks away,” reports the New York Times’ Nick Bilton. The next-gen device will reportedly sport a “fairly different design"

From the New York Times:

We’re just weeks away from the announcement of the new Apple iPhone 5, according to an Apple employee who asked not to be named because he was not allowed to speak publicly for the company.

Additionally, the source referenced yesterday’s Case-Mate image leak that seemed to reveal the design of the iPhone 5:

From descriptions I’ve heard of the new iPhone from Apple employees, the images seemed potentially authentic.

According to the report, the device will feature an 8MP camera, will feature a design that is significantly different than the iPhone 4, and will be powered by Apple’s dual-core A5 processor, which currently powers the iPad 2.
